May 16 & 17 Bulletin & Service Folders

Hello Friends,

As we head into the weekend, we remember Ascension Day, when Jesus ascended into heaven and was seated at the right hand of the Father. Ascension reminds us that Jesus’ work for our salvation is complete, and yet He is still at work among us today. He reigns over all things, hears our prayers, and sends us out with the hope of His resurrection. Because our Savior is risen, ascended, and reigning, we can go forward with confidence and hope.

And if you are free Sunday afternoon, Music at St. Lorenz would love to have you attend the Motor City Brass Band concert at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. It is sure to be a wonderful performance!

Your Brother in Christ,
Pastor Brad

Motor City Brass Band Ensemble Concert

May 17th, 2026, 4:00 pm at the St. Lorenz Sanctuary

Join us in commemorating a significant milestone in our nation's history with a performance by the Motor City Brass Ensemble, a 32-member British-style brass band based in Detroit. Known for their musical excellence and versatility, the ensemble has earned recognition through multiple awards, including First Place in the North American Brass Band Association (NABBA) in 2022 and five consecutive Detroit Music Awards. Their program will feature a range of repertoire from classical to contemporary, with a special emphasis on patriotic selections in honor of the United States’ 250th anniversary.
