Dear St. Lorenz Members,
As your congregational president, I wanted to send a reminder about this weekend’s Together We Build vote and an upcoming Voters’ Meeting. Thank you for your support of our church and school and for taking an interest in all that is happening here.
Together We Build: Vote This Week
I pray you’ll have a chance to review the materials at stlorenz.org/together, consider the proposal, and cast your vote.
There are three ways to vote:
- In person: Before or after each service this weekend in the lower level at the Sanctuary or in the lobby at the Worship & Event Center. Ministry Council members will be available to help.
- Absentee ballot: Pick up a ballot in the church office and return it by 4 PM Friday.
- Online: If you can’t come into the office or vote in person this weekend, request an online ballot here by 12 PM Friday and complete it by 4 PM Friday.
Voters’ Meeting: November 4 at 6 PM
Our annual Fall Voters’ Meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 4, at 6 PM in the Worship & Event Center. At this meeting, we will present:
- The 2027 Ministry Financial Plan
- The slate of candidates for the upcoming Ministry Council elections
Voting on these two items will take place the first weekend in December.
Why Are There Two Separate Votes?
We know having two separate votes may cause some confusion. We moved the Together We Build vote ahead of our usual December vote on the financial plan and Ministry Council members because of the construction timeline. If the project is approved this weekend, construction is planned to begin as soon as possible. Those extra weeks will hopefully help us have the new classrooms ready when school starts in August.
Thank you for helping support a place where children and families can learn, grow, and hear about Jesus.
If you have any questions about either vote or the November meeting, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
In Christ,
John Krafft
Congregational President
