Hello Friends,

This is a big weekend in the life of St. Lorenz!

On Sunday, we have the privilege not only of installing our new pastor, but also of participating in his ordination as he begins his pastoral ministry. It is a special moment for Eddie and his wife, Ashley, and for our entire congregation, as they begin their new life and ministry here in Frankenmuth.

The ordination and installation will take place during a special 8:30 AM service in the Sanctuary. Please remember that we will not have our regular 8:00 or 9:30 AM services this Sunday. Our 10:45 AM service will continue as usual in the Worship Center.

Following the 8:30 AM service, everyone is invited to a light reception with cake in the Parlor (lower level of the Sanctuary). Eddie and Ashley will also be available for another light reception in the Worship Center lobby following the 10:45 AM service. These receptions will give you an opportunity to welcome them, share your well wishes, and celebrate this important day with them.

As Eddie and Ashley settle into a new home, community, and ministry, some may wish to welcome them in a tangible way. A card, gift card, or monetary gift would be a thoughtful expression of encouragement and generosity as they begin this new chapter at St. Lorenz.

We will also celebrate Founders’ Day this Sunday. Following the 8:30 AM service and continuing until 1:30 PM, special activities and tours will take place at the Sanctuary and across the street at the Church Museum, Log Cabin, and historic cemetery. There will be opportunities to explore the people, places, and stories that have shaped our congregation throughout its history.

It will be a wonderful morning of seeing our history and our future in the making—all on one very special day. We will remember the generations who faithfully came before us while celebrating a new pastor beginning his ministry among us. Through it all, we give thanks for God’s faithfulness to St. Lorenz, both in the past and in the years yet to come.

Have a wonderful weekend, and I hope to see you in worship.

Your Brother in Christ,

Pastor Brad Hubbard

Worship Reminder

Our 10:45 AM service will continue as usual in the Worship Center.
